Dr. Neil Barclay
Dr. Neil Barclay currently provides leadership for Access and Flow and is responsible for the integration, strategies and delivery of services to optimize access and flow across Fraser Health, focusing on the physician role in the system.

Career snapshot

Dr. Neil Barclay came to Fraser Health from Alberta in 2007. He has held numerous leadership positions in Fraser Health, including local department head for Emergency Medicine, site medical director, and, most recently, regional medical director for Emergency Medicine. Dr. Neil Barclay was also the co-chair of the Provincial Emergency Services Advisory Council from 2015 to 2019. 

He practices as an emergency physician and a trauma team leader at Eagle Ridge Hospital and Royal Columbian Hospital. 

Formal education

Dr. Neil Barclay's medical career has included many facets, including rural, tropical, transport medicine and education. He is currently an associate clinical professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of British Columbia.
